Mental health in prison


Description

The course "Mental health in prison" prepares trainees to better identify and deal with mental health challenges among the prison population.

In particular, this training course addresses the signs and procedures of mental health issues among the inmates, suicide prevention and self-harm within the incarcerated population, special needs, including gender (the mental health of women prisoners) and age (the mental health of young offenders), among other pressing issues.


Estimated duration: 3h30 per week for 2 weeks.

• Individuals and/or organisations that are responsible for prisoners

• Professionals from entities linked with/or collaborating in initiatives that promote the health of prisoners and/or prison staff
